Guinness Recognizes Hilda Baci’s Record-Breaking Jollof Rice Feat

Guinness World Records (GWR) has officially acknowledged Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci for creating the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice, marking another significant achievement for her.

Announcing the feat on its official X account, Guinness World Records wrote: “New record: Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”

The milestone was set on September 12, 2025, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, during the ‘Gino World Jollof Festival’ with Hilda Baci. The festival drew thousands of attendees and created significant excitement across social media platforms.

Hilda Baci, who first made international headlines in 2023 by setting the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, has now reinforced her status as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated culinary figures.

The event attracted a star-studded crowd, including Funke Akindele, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Tomike Adeoye, Pastor Idowu, and Bamidele Abiodun, wife of the Ogun State Governor, all of whom turned out to support Baci in her record-breaking achievement.
