There are reports that the husband of former Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) Chike Akunyili was killed in the early hours of Wednesday while on his way to attending a memorial in honour of his late wife, Professor Dora Akunyili.
A source close to the family, who preferred anonymity confirmed the killing to VANGUARD but declined further comments.
