Hold Davido Responsible If Anything Happens To Me, Tiwa Savage Writes Police

Popular Nigerian female singer, Tiwatope, Omolara Savage better known as Tiwa Savage has written to Nigeria Police to hold David Adeleke also known as Davido, responsible if anything untoward or harmful happens to her or any member of her family.

In a petition dated 9th January 2024, submitted to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos Police Command, Tiwa Savage accused Superstar  Davido of threat to assault and cause grievous bodily harm.

According to Tiwa, “It all started on 23rd December 2023 when she posted a picture of herself and Sophia Momodu (Davido’s baby mama and now ex-girlfriend)  on Instagram.

“Davido apparently got irked by the post, sent a message  to Tiwa through her Manager accusing her of taunting him while “uttering disrespectful, malicious and derogatory words”, in the process.

“The event of that day have led to barrage of calls and messages from mutual connections asking me what I did to Mr David Adeleke that he is upset that I choose to maintain relationship with Imade’s Mother; Sophia Modomu who he is having issues with and also painting the exchange to look like I was an aggressor”, the petition stated.

She said Davido told mutual connections to warn her to “be careful in Lagos because he was going to f**k her up”. This according to Tiwa is beginning to feel like an online and offline harassment to her and members of her team.

Tiwa  described Davido’s action as unethical and a direct threat to her life, privacy and dignity as guaranteed by Chapter 4 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.

She finalized the petition by calling on the Nigerian Police to hold Davido responsible in the event anything untoward or harmful happens to her or member of her family.
