Honourable Patrick Obahiagbon Mourns Former ASUU President, Festus Iyayi
Following the untimely death of former Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) President Professor Festus Iyayi who was killed when a police convoy belonging to Kogi State Governor Idris Wada rammed into the ASUU bus in which he was travelling. He was reported to have died on the spot.
The grand initiation of Professor Festus Iyayi is a lancinating loss of another stentorian voice, against retrograde and prebendal forces of primitive mercantilism. That he passed through transition on matters pro bono publico, bears eloquent testimony to our state of dystopia. Such is the evanescence of life.Its all vanitas vanitatum.”
