House Of Reps Primary: Women, Youth Back Olaosebikan, Say He Is The Right Man For The Job

The women and youths of the Oluyole Federal Constituency of Oyo State have thrown their weight behind the aspiration of an accomplished journalist and seasoned politician, Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress APC, to contest for the seat of Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The women and youths collectively described Olaosebikan as the right man for the job, just as Kehinde Olaosebikan himself declared that it is turn to represent Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Speaking at the presentation of modern high-tech public address systems by the former Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan to the women and youths of the constituency, at the headquarters of PBAT-KO Grassroots Movement in Olomi, Ibadan, Woman and youth leaders of APC in Oluyole Local Government, Mrs. Kikelomo Akinleye and Mr. Babatunde Yisau Lawal, respectively, together with the youth and women leaders in the 10 wards of the local government area, expressed their full support for Olaosebikan in clinching the ticket.

The APC Youth Leader, Mr Babatunde Lawal, said the entire youth of the local government are grateful for the donation, stressing that Alhaji Olaosebikan has always been a very generous man both in politics and life generally.

According to the Youth Leader, people like “ Call me Kenny are not common in politics. We are highly appreciative of his kind and pragmatic gesture and are ready to give him our full support in his aspiration. We are ready to support him and other party candidates in the 2027 elections,’’ Babatunde said.

On the part of the Women, the Woman Leader for the local government, Mrs Kikelomo Akinleye did not mince words in expressing the total support of the Oluyole women for Olaosebikan stating that the former Chief Press Secretary to Alhaji Lam Adesina possesses all the qualities of a great leader.

“We have known Olaosebikan for about 18 years now. He is our Daddy, our brother, our uncle, we love him with passion. He is an excellent party man, very responsible, very responsive, and caring with the love of all at heart. We know that if he gets there, our party would be better and stronger, and Oluyole will be far better for it. With Olaosebikan, we are sure of a better life for all, both men and women.

‘’He came here to seek our support for him to emerge as the House of Representatives Candidate of our party for Oluyole Federal Constituency, and we are supporting him. We will do all we can to see him emerge as our candidate, “The Woman Leader for Oluyole Federal Constituency declared.

In his address, Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan said that he was ready for any method the All Progressives Congress APC may adopt for the upcoming primaries in his constituency, stating that his long-standing loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, years of service and contributions to the APC stand him out as the most qualified contender.

 The former chairman of Oluyole Local Government Council said it is time for Oluyole to enjoy quality representation from a tested grassroots politician with experience.

‘’The people of Oluyole deserve a voice that understands their needs and has the capacity to deliver. My loyalty to our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and years of service to the APC and in progressive politics in general are not in doubt.

He urged party leaders and members to prioritize competence and track record in choosing the party’s flag bearer, noting that Oluyole deserves the best for its economic, social, cultural and political importance in the state and Nigeria as a whole.

Olaosebikan stated that as a member of the All Progressives Congress, he has remained consistently loyal without any history of defection even after losing in primary elections in 2019 and 2023.

For 2027, Olaosebikan who served as the Regional Coordinator for Media and Publicity, South West, among other functions for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential Campaign Council in 2023, declared that it is his turn to represent Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
