The Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Public Communications, Lere Olayinka, has challenged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s persistent ambition to become Nigeria’s President.
Olayinka said Atiku is behaving as if a Doctor had prescribed the presidency for him, and something would happen to him if he doesn’t eventually emerge as Nigeria’s leader.
He described Atiku as the bad apple in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Olayinka raised fresh questions about Atiku’s interest in the presidency while speaking on Thursday during an interview on Channels Television.
He alleged that Atiku’s ambition to become president led him to work against the PDP in Lagos State in 2003 as a sitting Vice President, which opened the doors for anti-party activities within the party.

“The only thing that interests Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is to become the President of Nigeria, and I’m beginning to wonder whether a doctor prescribed ‘presidency’ for Atiku so that if he doesn’t become president, something will happen to him,” Wike’s aide stated.
Olayinka’s submission comes hours after Atiku officially announced on Wednesday that he has dumped the PDP.
