Nigerian singer and rapper, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has claimed that he wrote a lot of hit songs for his colleague, Afrobeats superstar, Wizkid, during their days at Banky W’s record label, Empire Mates Entertainment (EME).
Speaking as a guest on‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’ by skitmaker, Bae U Barbie, the ‘Jogo’ crooner revealed he co-wrote some of the songs in Wizkid’s debut album, ‘Super Star,’ including the hit track ‘Wiz Party.’
Skales, however, admitted that Wizkid also wrote songs for him, including the smash hit ‘Mukulu.’
He said, “Back in EME, we were a team so we used to write songs for each other. I wrote songs for Wizkid. He also wrote songs for me, too.
“He wrote ‘Mukulu’ for me and I wrote his song ‘Wiz Party.’ As I said, EME was a collective, so we did teamwork.”
