Ibadan Remains Nigeria Political Capital, Says Cleric
The General Overseer of the Throneroom Trust Ministry, Prophet Emmanuel Nuhu Kure has described Ibadan as number one city among other cities in Yoruba land and political capital of Nigeria.
Prophet Kure stated this in Ibadan during a two day programme, Ibadan Prophecy Prayer Convocation, with the theme “Passover To The Glorious Future”.
The programme was jointly organized by the Throneroom Trust Ministry and Oyo State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, held at Jogor International Events Centre, Ibadan between July 2 and 3, 2019.
According to him, “if there is peace in Ibadan, relatively there will be peace in most states in Nigeria including the federal capital territory. This has been so for decades, even during western regions, geographically and economical Lagos was the capital but politically Ibadan is the capital of Nigeria.
“As regards political strength nothing has changed, even though Abuja is now the capital of Nigeria officially, ibadan maintains is class politically.
“The impact of the first edition of this programme, held in April last year in Ibadan is without doubt evident to all as seen by the outcome of the general election in our nation and Oyo State in particular as well as relative peace we have enjoyed in the state. This programme will not only transform the lives of the attendees but also transform the land and we shall enjoy peace, prosperity and revival in Ibadan
The programme was declared open by the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter, Pastor Benjamin Akanmu, who also used the occasion to call on all Christians in the state to always remember Governor Seyi Makinde, his cabinet members, CAN President, Rev. Supo Ayokunle and others in the position of authority in their daily supplication to God.”
Pastor Akanmu emphatically hammered on prayer, which he described as the master key “Christians across the state should be steadfast in their prayers and supplications, as we know it is the only weapon we have and it is through it that our state can be set free from crime, socioeconomic hardship and all evils.”
