INEC Declared Mimiko As Winner of Governorship Election in Ondo State.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Dr. Olusegun Mimiko as the winner of yesterday governorship election held in Ondo state. The Chief Returning Officer for the election and Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Prof. Biyi Daramola declared Olusegun Mimiko as the winner of the governorship elections.
According to Prof Daramola, Mimiko of Labour Party scored the highest number of 260 199 votes and defeated 12 other contestants.
Out of 624,659 votes, Mimiko scored 260,199 followed by Mr. Olusola Oke of the People’s Democratic Party with 155,961 and Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of the Action Congress of Nigeria, with 143512 votes.
