The gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Darius Ishaku, has been re-elected governor of Taraba state.
Ishaku polled a total of 520,432 voted to beat his closest rival and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Sani Abubakar Danladi, who polled 362,735 votes.
Shehu Iya, the state returning officer and professor at Modibo Adama University, Yola, declared the PDP candidate winner on Tuesday morning at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Jalingo.
