ionigeria Publisher’s Mother-in-Law, Mrs. Phillips Passes On
The death has been announced of Mrs. Clara Olasumbo Phillips nee Ojelade. The deceased is the mother of Mrs. Oluwafunlola Igbinidu, wife of Mr. Charles Igbinidu,Publisher of ionigeria.com.
Mrs. Clara Olasumbo Phillips nee Ojelade, a retired banker with over 30 years of service in the financial sector, died on July 8, 2013 while holidaying in London.
She will be buried in London.
Burial arrangements as announced by the family are as follows: On Thursday August 22, 2013, Wake Keep at The Beacon Centre, All Saints Church, Drake Road, Chafford Hundred, Grays, Essex RM16 6RW between 6:00PM and 9:00PM. Interment follows on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 11:00AM at West Thurrock Cemetery Chapel, Sandy Lane, Off London Road behind IKEA, Chafford Hundred. Reception follows at Drake Community Centre, Drake Road, Chafford Hundred, RM16 6PS.
The deceased is survived by her husband, Engr. Olusegun Phillips, six children including, Mrs. Funsho Akinruli, a health practitioner in the United States; Mrs. Oluwafunlola Igbinidu, a fashion designer and wife of Charles Igbinidu, MD of TPT International; Mr Jimmy Phillips a London-based technocrat; Omololu Phillips, UK-based IT specialist, Mrs. Yewande Oladipo, a Lagos-based business woman and Miss Bunmi Phillips, also a UK-based legal practitioner.
A devout Christian and a strong member of Methodist Church, Mrs. Clara Olasumbo Phillips died at the age of 73.
