Iran Fires Fresh Barrage Of Missiles At Israel As Tensions Escalate

Iranian state television reported that Iran fired a fresh barrage of missiles at Israel in the early hours of Tuesday, further escalating the already heightened conflict between the two nations.

The strikes reportedly followed earlier attacks that hit a building in northern Israel, while a loud explosion was also heard in Jerusalem.

Iran’s state-run broadcaster, Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, announced the latest strikes on its Telegram channel.

“Iran fires new wave of missiles at occupied territories,” the broadcaster said.

It later claimed that some of the missiles penetrated Israel’s defence systems.

“Iranian missiles pass(ed) through several Israeli missile defences,” the broadcaster added.

Emergency responders in Israel confirmed that a building was damaged during the strikes. The country’s emergency service, Magen David Adom, released a video showing the damaged structure in northern Israel.

Officials said there were no reported fatalities from the incident. The Israeli military later confirmed it had detected incoming missiles from Iran and activated its defence systems.

The attack comes hours after Israel launched a fresh wave of strikes on Iran.

Explosions were reported in Tehran, according to Iranian media, while Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates said they intercepted missiles and drones amid the growing regional tensions.

The International Energy Agency said at least 40 key energy facilities across the oil- and gas-rich region had been severely damaged since the conflict began.

IEA Executive Director, Fatih Birol, warned that the scale of disruption posed a serious threat to the global economy.

He said, “No country will be immune to the effects of this crisis if it continues to go in this direction. So there is a need for global efforts.”
