Is Cameroon President Paul Biya Dead? Confusion Surrounds His Health and Whereabouts
Uncertainty continues to grow over the whereabouts of Cameroon’s President Paul Biya, who has been absent from his country for an extended period.
At 91, Africa’s longest-serving president has been the subject of rumors, with some claiming he has passed away in France.
His prolonged absence has persisted since September, following his attendance at a summit in Beijing, China, from which he was expected to return promptly.
Biya has been ruling Cameroon for 42 years following his assumption to office on November 6, 1982.
No official statement has been made regarding his elongated stay in France with Cameroonians saying he is already dead.
