The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola in a tweet on Twitter revealed that he avoided handshakes in almost two months ago as a measure against contracting the coronavirus pandemic otherwise known as COVID-19.
It will be recall that Fashola was Governor of Lagos State in 2014 when the country defeated the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) and received nationwide commendation for his pro-activeness in combating the disease.
He added that social distancing had become the norm as the global COVID-19 pandemic has changed human relations.
“49 days without a handshake. Social Distancing, the new normal. #When was your last handshake?” he tweeted.
