JAMB Releases Results for Over 632,000 Candidates from First Day of 2026 UTME
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says it has released the results for candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Thursday, April 16..
In a statement by JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, to access their scores, candidates should send the text UTMERESULT via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number they registered with. For now, results can only be viewed — printing remains unavailable at this stage.
JAMB is also issuing a stern warning to candidates tempted to tamper with the SMS results they receive. Altering or fabricating scores to deceive others, including parents, is a criminal offence — and the Board says it will not take such misconduct lightly. Already, two candidates and one parent are in custody for manipulating results using artificial intelligence and other electronic tools. Anyone caught doing the same will face the full weight of the law.
The examination is still ongoing, and results will be published on a rolling basis as they become available.
