The Katsina State Government House in Katsina has reportedly been gutted by fire early Monday morning.
However, the cause of the fire had yet to be ascertained.
A source whose house is close to the Government House, Alhaji Bashir, told Punchng that the fire started around 6am.
He said, “I saw a fire service truck rushing in. I was in my house as early as 6 am after prayers, a fire service truck rushed into the Government House, and I later learnt there was an inferno inside the red chamber where Governor Dikko used to host guests”.
Efforts to speak with the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim l Mohammed, proved abortive as he failed to respond to his calls.
