The House of Representatives member representing the Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, Plateau State, Mr Ajang Iliya, who was a member of the Labour Party, on Thursday, defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This is coming barely a week after the LP lost five of its members in the House to the APC.
At the plenary session, the House Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas announced Iliya’s defection.
Reading the letter of defection to the APC, Abbas cited “the crisis in the leadership of the Labour Party,” and other related issues as reasons for the development.
