Lucky Aiyedatiwa has been sworn in as the Governor of Ondo State, commencing his first full four-year term. He assumed office in 2023 following the unfortunate demise of the then Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, who passed away while still in office.
Aiyedatiwa had previously served as the Deputy Governor under Akeredolu and constitutionally succeeded him upon his death.
The inauguration ceremony signifies the formal start of Aiyedatiwa’s administration as the elected Governor of Ondo State, and it is expected that he will now implement his own policy agenda and priorities for the state.
The ceremony took place on Monday at the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure, the state capital, two months after he won the governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
