The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has condemned the recent increase in the pump price of fuel by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.
The new NBA President, Mazi Afam Osigwe, stated that the sharp rise in the pump price from N565 per litre to N900 is unacceptable.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Osigwe expressed regret that this significant and abrupt hike has imposed an unbearable burden on the already overstretched finances of ordinary Nigerians, further aggravating the economic challenges faced by millions across the country.
