Popular Nigerian afro-beat singer, Ayodeji Balogun, known on stage as Wizkid, has lost his mother.
The fans and whole entertainment industry have now been thrown into a state of mourning.
Information gathered from a close associate of the singer confirmed that the singer lost his mother in the early hours of Friday, August 18, 2023.
Wizkid’s mum, Jane Morayo Balogun, a formidable cornerstone of strength, lent unwavering backing to her son’s meteoric rise in the industry.
Her steadfast support was a familiar sight on the periphery of concerts and events.
The late Balogun is the mother to two other children, Yetunde Balogun and Lade Balogun.
