The current Commissioner for Works and Housing in Lagos State, Engineer Obafemi Hamzat, has officially declared his intention to run for governorship in 2015 in the state.
The London trained Engineer turned politician, Hamzat made this known to newsmen on Tuesday in Lagos adding that he has a lot to offer Lagos State.
Hamzat is expected to compete with like of Senator Ganiu Solomon, Leke Pitan, Akin Ambode, and the rest under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
The Lagos State gubernatorial hopeful in his further submission said: “I’m ripe for the job and my faith has pushed me to enter the race and I believe by November, I will win at the primaries.
“Though I respect others candidates, but I know I’m more intellectually sound and very brilliant in terms of education, exposure and robust political background in Lagos.
“I got my Ph.D at 26.
“That alone is a plus for me.”
