Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, speaking at the 12th edition of Lagos Central Senatorial District Town Hall meeting organised by Senator Oluremi Tinubu said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will be deceiving itself if it thinks it can defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the state in 2015 election, with its entire rigging plan. Nigerian Tribune reports.
Fashola who was represented by his Special Adviser on Political and Legislative Matters, Musiliu Folami, said that the PDP had been trying to win the state through their rigging plan, but said they would fail in their bid as they had nothing to showcase to Lagos people as their achievements.
According to the governor, “As 2015 is approaching, our opponents have been scheming vigorously, but what are they going to showcase, what are they going to tell Lagos people that they have done? They have not done anything they can point to.”
He urged the party leaders and members in position of authorities to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people in area of empowerment, which he said, was a top priority in APC manifesto.
