Lagos Assembly Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, Impeached in a Dramatic Twist
The Lagos State House of Assembly members have removed Mudashiru Obasa as speaker.
News flying across the internet shows that Hon. Lasbat Meranda, the Deputy Speaker, has been appointed as Obasa’s replacement.
Hon. Fatai Mojeed, the Deputy Chief Whip, has also been elected as the new Deputy Speaker.
The impeachment is believed to stem from various controversial financial issues surrounding Obasa.
