Lagos Commends LASU Unions For Suspending Strike


The Lagos State Government on Friday commends the Joint Action Committee of Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Education and Associated Institutions (NASU), of Lagos State University Chapter for its decision on Thursday, 25th of February, 2021, to suspend its strike action.

In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Office of Establishments and Training, Mr. Abiodun Onayele, Governor Babajide Babajide Sanwo-Olu acknowledges the honour and has restated his administration’s commitment to an amicable resolution of all issues as quickly as possible and looks forward to continued industrial harmony in our flagship tertiary Institution.
The unions have been on strike for the past three weeks over their earned allowances and issues.
