The Lagos State Police Command have arrested a vulcaniser who has admitted on video to giving information to kidnappers about residents of estates in the Ajah-Lekki area of Lagos State.
In a viral video, the suspect admitted giving information and scooping a whooping N2.9 million in one swoop after an operation.
He further admitted to having given information that led to two residents of a particular estate in Ajah-Lekki being abducted for ransom.
Fielding questions from security agents, he denied being the one who gave information that led to the kidnap of a General.
According to him, after he received N2.9 million from the kidnappers that he sold information about some residents, he relocated to his hometown, which is Epe in Lagos State.
The suspect, who is a father of two, said that he ran to Epe just to “hide myself”.
He further said: “I don’t participate in the kidnapping operation.
“This is my second time giving them information.
“I was not the one who gave them information about the General, even though my vulcaniser stand was stationed at his place.
“I know General very well, but I was not involved in his kidnapping.
“I was the one that showed the kidnapper the road to where they kidnapped Folorunsho, the furniture man.
“I was given N100,000, but that of General, it was not me.”
