Lagos Traffic: LASTMA Meets Religion Leaders!
The General Manager, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Bashir Braimah, on Sunday meets with some Christians and Muslims at their places of worship in Lagos, saying that the visits were to open the hearts of the congregation to traffic rules and regulations.
“We also aim to promote road orderliness and safety with focus on voluntary compliance by motorists in order to drive home government message on zero tolerance for traffic indiscipline and lawlessness,” he said.
The campaign was tagged, ‘Operation Open Hearts’, was to appeal to the feelings and passion of the worshipers, adding that since the places of worship enjoyed the patronage of large congregation, who were also car owners, it was imperative to carry them along in traffic management for the desired result.
The general manager stressed that the recent gridlocks in the state were occasioned by acts of indiscipline among motorists.
