Marriage: ‘Give It a Good Six Months Before You Commit’ -Kim Kardashian
No doubt Kim has learned a lot from her ill-fated marriage to Kris Humphries the marriage which lasted for only 72 days.
In a new interview with Cosmopolitan, Kim revealed that it was her younger sister’s whirlwind romance with her own basketball star that made her believe in the fairytale.
“I saw fast marriages like Khloe and Lamar’s and that was what seemed to work,” Kardashian tells the magazine for its April issue. “Now I say give it a good six months before you commit. Feelings change, even if it seems so lustful.”
The 32-year-old is now with Kanye West, her friend for years before things moved from platonic to romantic in early 2012.
“Sometimes you’re just not ready,” she admits. “A person could have it all, and you’re not ready for it all. But this is where I probably always should have been … marriage is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don’t have this sense of urgency about it. I have this best friend who understands me and helps me through all my tough experiences, and vice versa, you know? It just feels like this is it for me.”
Though Kardashian had did not announce her baby news at the time Kanye West make open to the world during a concert in Atlantic City late last year. Kim, who loves to start raising her family as soon as possible, “I’ve always said that I wanted kids, but I don’t think I ever would have been ready until now.”
