
The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DAKA Foundation, Chief (Dr) Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu, popularly known as KSO, has felicitated Muslims as they celebrate the Eid al-Maulud.
Eid al-Maulud is an annual festival commemorating the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad on the traditional date of 12 Rabi’ al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic Calendar.
He urged the Muslims to use the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Maulud to show love and affection to others.
Abidikugu, who is the Agba-Akin Bobajiro of Ibadanland, in a statement on Friday, said the Muslims should celebrate modestly and ensure peaceful co-existence
Abidikugu, a United Kingdom-based Psychiatric Consultant, expressed his happiness that this year’s Maulud comes at a time when the country is witnessing peace and tranquility despite the harsh economy.
He called on the well-to-do in society to help the less privileged, saying they should demonstrate kindness to others.

According to the statement, “I felicitate the Muslims on this year’s occasion of Eid al-Maulud. As we celebrate, I call for peaceful co-existence and religious tolerance.
“I also called on the well-to-do in society to help the less privileged. The people are suffering from the bad economy. So, as a Muslim I urge you to put smiles on the faces of the poor during this festivity period.
“We thank that despite the hard economy our country is witnessing peace and tranquility. Let us also use this holy day to pray for our leaders, for them to be guided on the right way.
