Mr Ibu’s Burial of Begins in Enugu

The burial of late Nollywood actor John Okafor, also known as Mr Ibu, has begun in his hometown of Amuri, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Mr Ibu passed away in Lagos in March 2024 of cardiac arrest.
His death was attributed to complications arising from the amputation of one of his legs.
The Enugu-born actor rose to fame in 2004 following his role in the movie “Mr Ibu,” which also featured the late actor Ita Iheme.
The deceased starred in more than 200 Nollywood films, including ‘Mr Ibu,’ ‘Mr. Ibu and His Son,’ ‘Coffin Producers,’ ‘Husband Suppliers,’ ‘International Players,’ ‘Mr. Ibu in London,’ ‘Police Recruit’ and many others.
The graduate of the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu State, died at the age of 62.
