MTN Project Fame Is Raising the Youth to Be Self-Sustaining –NCC Commissioner

project fameOn a night when Project Fame contestants did exceptionally well in rendering evergreen hits by one of Africa’s most celebrated artistes, Lagbaja, representatives of the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), led by Mrs. Biodun Olujimi, were highly impressed with MTN’s contribution to raising young people who can hold their own in any part of the world.

Olujimi, a former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, but now a Commissioner with the industry’ regulatory body, could not hide her joy at the sight of the showmanship and artistry exhibited by the contestants. She remarked, ‘MTN Project Fame is raising the youth to be self-sustaining by providing a platform where they can exhibit their skills and be moulded into useful economic contributors’.

The contestants were all masked in the usual Lagbaja style, while thrilling the audience to great hits like ‘Konko Below’ and more. They were so impressive that the audience leapt to their feet, time and again, during the flawless renditions.

However, it was not the best of times for Laami and Ogechukwu, two beautiful ladies, who were eliminated from the show. The two contestants were among five others who could not gather enough votes in the course of the week, and had to be placed on probation.

On the other hand, mother-luck smiled on Christian, Debbie and Taiwo, the three other contestants on probation. They were saved by the judges, the Faculty and the other contestants; just as the two ladies had to leave the show.
