N-Power Programme Is Design To Build Future Of Youths – Presidency

The presidency has disclosed that N-Power Programme is part of strategies designed to build the future of Nigerian youths from today as over 500,000 Nigerian youth have benefited from program. 

This was disclosed by the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Job Creation, Afolabi Imoukhuede in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital during the official launching of ‘Build the Future’, Oyo State Chapter.

The programme is part of initiative of the Federal Government to provide job for the Nigerian youths and women.

Imoukhuede said that Nigerian youth have been continuously stuffed with the famous saying that ‘you are the future of tomorrow, yet the quality of the future talking about is clouded with uncertainty.

“We need to lay the foundational blocks and commerce the process of building, if we are to have the future of our dreams. The time is now.

“This is why we are N-Power, a social investment programme of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration specifically designed for the unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 35, recognize and fully associate with the Build The Future Movement”.

Imoukhuede maintained that President Buhari understands that one of the most important assets Nigeria has is her youth, as such N-Power is a direct investment of the President in her youths.

He pointed out that President Buhari understands the impactful role the youth must play today if they are to build the future they want tomorrow. 

He disclosed that as a result of building the future from today, over 500,000 Nigerian youth and women across all the 774 local government in the country have been engaged since 2016, which has go a long way in reducing the unemployment rate in the country.

According to him, “200,000 youth was engaged in the first batch, and 300,000 was also engaged in August 2018 in the second batch of the program, so this approximately to 500,000 Nigerian youth and women who have benefited from the N-Power Program.
