Nasarawa Governor Abdullahi Sule Wins Re-Election 

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the winner of the governorship election in Nasarawa state.

Ishaya Tanko, the state collation, and the returning officer made the declaration on Monday.

The APC candidate polled a total of 347, 209 votes to defeat his closest opponent David Ombugadu, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who got 283, 016 votes.

“Abdullahi Sule of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes in the election, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected,” Tanko said at the state collation centre.

With his declaration as the winner of the poll, Sule will resume his second term in office on May 29.
