Nicki Minaj Explains Why She Stopped Attending Church
Trinidadian-American rapper Nicki Minaj, whose full name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, has opened up about the reasons behind her decision to stop going to church.
While speaking on the Bryce Crawford podcast, Nicki Minaj revealed that she stopped going to church after she became successful in the music industry.
She clarified that prior to popular claims; she did not quit church because of the fame but because her career required her to work on weekends.
“Once my career started taking off, I stopped going to church. I was working on Friday nights and Saturday nights, so the last thing I could do was wake up on Sunday mornings to go to church,” she said.
She noted that she still, however, has a good relationship with God.
