The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the reopening of more airports for domestic operations after about three months of restrictions to curb the spread of coronavirus otherwise known as COVID-19 pandemic.
The Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika made this known in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Sunday.
“Glad to announce that the following airports are open for full domestic operations, hence ministerial approvals in and out of them is not required”.
“This includes private and charter operations. We will keep you informed on the reminder airports in due course” he tweeted.
As the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Civil Aviation Organization have developed guidelines of seating to keep passengers safe during air travels, Sirika said, the Nigerian government will implement them while maintaining the profitability of airlines.
