The Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy (NSP) has mourns with its sister counterpart in health industry, the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) on the death of its six members.
If you recall, six Ekiti State based doctors lost their lives in a motor accident on their way to the northern part of the country.
In a statement by Public Relations Officer, Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy, Department of Physiotherapy, University Health Service, University of Ibadan, Dr. Olumide Dada made available to Lagos Post, the association expresses its sincere condolences to the NMA and their immediate families.
The statements reads in parts;
“The Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy (NSP) wish to express our sincere condolences to the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) on the irreparable loss of six Ekiti-based doctors on their way to the Annual Conference of the NMA in Sokoto”.
“We received, with shock, the news of their demise and want to use this medium to condole with all members of the NMA especially Ekiti NMA and their immediate families”.
“Our desire is that such occurrences will not be recorded among the Health community again. We diligently look forward to a time when the roads in Nigeria will not be instruments of death and platforms of wasting great human resources. It is really sad that gross investments will be wasted on roads in Nigeria”.
NSP also pray that the good God will console those they left behind and that their works will outlive them.
