Victor Osimhen added a personal touch to his game on Saturday when he celebrated a goal by displaying a jersey with birthday messages for the twin sons of Nigerian business mogul Tony Elumelu.
The 26-year-old striker opened the scoring in Galatasaray’s 2-1 victory over Goztepe at RAMS Park with a well-taken penalty in the 10th minute, sending goalkeeper Mateusz Lis the wrong way.
The goal marked Osimhen’s 10th league strike for the Turkish side since his mid-2024 transfer.
During his celebration, Osimhen called for a customised Galatasaray jersey from the bench and posed for cameras with the inscription, “Happy birthday, Tony and Toby.”

Galatasaray later reacted to the moment on X (formerly Twitter), playfully acknowledging the gesture but admitting they weren’t sure who the twins were. “We’re not sure who they are,” the club tweeted, joining in the celebration.
Tony Elumelu, however, cleared the air in his own tweet, explaining that Osimhen had promised to mark his sons’ 10th birthday during his next goal celebration.
“Throwback to last week when Victor Osimhen promised the T-Men to dedicate his next goal as their 10th birthday gift—and, as always, he delivered in style,” Elumelu wrote on X.
With the victory, Galatasaray solidified their position at the top of the Turkish league, sitting 11 points clear of second-placed Fenerbahçe.
