Police Debunks Report Of ‘General Raiding Across Lagos’

The Lagos State Police Command has debunked the report circulating on social media of a planned General Raiding by the Police on Thursday and Friday nights from 8pm throughout Lagos State.

Lagos State Police command in a statement on Wednesday night by its spokesman, DSP Bala Elkana, described the report as fake and urged Lagosians to disregard the message.

Elkana said the information is not only false but mischievous, calculated towards creating fear on the minds of the people.

“Lagosians are enjoined to disregard the message and treat it as fake news, he said.

“Avoid the temptation of forwarding such mischievous message.”

The Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, is totally committed towards providing safe and secured environment for Lagosians to enjoy more of the night life provided by the State, adding: “The Command has emplaced round the clock security across the State,” Elkana added.
