Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor, and other leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have been summoned by the Kaduna State Police Command. They are wanted for questioning regarding accusations of criminal conspiracy, incitement of public disturbance, mischief, and causing grievous hurt.
The police invitation letter dated September 4, 2025, and signed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Uzainu Abdullahi, directed the ADC Kaduna State Chairman to produce El-Rufai and seven other party members at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) on September 8, 2025.
In the letter titled “Investigation Activities: Case of Criminal Conspiracy, Inciting Disturbance of Public Peace, Mischief, and Causing Grievous Hurt,” the individuals were being called to clarify allegations lodged against them by the complainants.
While details of the complaints were not mentioned, the police emphasised that the invitation was part of ongoing investigation activities aimed at maintaining public peace and order in the state.

The letter reads, “This Department is currently investigating the above-mentioned case involving the following members of your party. You are requested to come along with them to SCID to clarify allegations reported against them by the complainants on September 8, 2025.
“Mal. Nasir El-Rufa’i, Bashir Sa’idu, Jafaru Sani, Ubaidullah Mohammed, aka 30, Nasiru Maikano, Aminu Abita, and Ahmed Rufa’i Hussaini, aka Mikiya.”
