The Chief Executive Officer of the Daka Foundation and a philanthropist, Dr. Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu, popularly known as KSO, has called on Muslims and Christians to use the occasion of Ramadan and Lent to pray for peace, tranquility, and an end to insecurity pervading the country.
In a statement he personally signed on the occasion of the beginning of Ramadan and Lent on Wednesday, Abidikugu who is the Agba-Akin Bobajiro of Ibadanland said the 30 days fasting in the month of Ramadan and 40 days of Lent is a period of divine connection with the Almighty God and urges both Muslims and Christians to seek the face of God during the period.
Abidikugu who is also a United Kingdom based Psychiatric Consultant said the coincidence of the periods of Ramadan and the Lent is unique, saying such opportunity should be spiritually utilized.
According to the statement, “Let me congratulate Muslims and Christians in Ibadan and the entire Oyo state on the successful beginning of Ramadan and the Lent.
“We should use the coincidence in the beginning of the two fasting of Ramadan and Lent to seek peace for our country.
“Let us equally pray for improvement of our economy. I pray that Almighty Allah will hear our prayers and solve long time problems most adherents of the two religions are facing. Our country will be a land of plenty and our leaders will receive God’s guidance “.
