Liverpool has defeated Chelsea by 2-1 to maintain the top spot on Sunday’s Premier League table.
Mohamed Salah put the home team in front from the penalty spot in the 29th minute.
Chelsea leveled after the break as Nicolas Jackson was played through to score.
Liverpool however regained the lead a few minutes later through Curtis Jones.
Jones got on the end of Salah’s low cross to beat visiting keeper Robert Sanchez from close range.
The Reds have 21 points from eight games, one more than second-placed Manchester City.
Chelsea is now in sixth place with 14 points.
