
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially administered the oath of office to Tunji Disu, appointing him as the 23rd Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Council Chambers, State House, Abuja, and was attended by ministers and other senior government officials.
During the ceremony, the President also administered the oath of office to six commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
In addition, two members of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) were sworn into office.
Following the inauguration, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) commenced its meeting immediately at the council chambers.
The meeting marked the first FEC session of the year.
Among those present were Vice President Kashim Shettima; Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume; Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu; and the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Esther Walson-Jack.
Most members of the Federal Executive Council were also in attendance for the meeting.
