Remo Stars Win First NPFL Title

Remo Stars secured their first Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title with a historic win on Sunday.
Olamilekan Adebayo scored the decisive goal in Sky Blue Stars’ 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes in Ikenne.
They are the first privately-owned club since Udoji United in 1996 to be crowned champions of the League.
Daniel Ogunmodede‘s side is also the first South West club to win the NPFL title since Julius Berger in 2000.
Remo Stars have recorded 68 points from 35 matches, 10 points clear of closest rivals Rivers United, with three rounds of matches to the end of the season.
