Cameroonian and Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana, revealed that replacing the club’s former goalkeeper, David De Gea is very hard.
He revealed this while speaking at a press conference ahead of Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League encounter against Bayern Munich.
The Cameroonian made the confession, adding that he’s confident in his side’s performance for the remainder of the season.
The 24-year-old has conceded 10 goals in five matches in the Premier League this season.
He joined United in a five-year deal worth £47.2 million, that runs till 2028.
“Well, I’m a very passionate player and I demand a lot from my players and my defenders.
“But like I always said, we are in this together. Being part of this big club is something great. Manchester United is an amazing club, it is huge.
“I’m happy to be here. Replacing David is not something easy. I’m trying to do my best of course.
“The start of the season is not what we want but we believe better will come. The situation will turn and I’m very confident. I know everything will be alright,” he assured.
Onana will make his UCL debut for Man Utd against the Bavarians, the first after losing last season’s 1-0 final between his former club, Inter Milan, and Manchester City.
