The Rivers State House of Assembly has declined to approve four individuals nominated by Governor Siminalayi Fubara for commissioner positions.
The nominees were screened by lawmakers on Monday during a plenary session at the Assembly complex in Port Harcourt.
Following the screening exercise, the Assembly confirmed five of the nominees presented by the governor.
Those confirmed include: Tonye Bellgam, Professor Temple Nwofor, Dr Peters Nwagor, Lekue Kenneth, Sir Amairigha Edward Hart
However, the lawmakers declined to confirm four of the nominees.
Those rejected are: Professor Datonye Alasia, Mrs Charity Deemua, Tamuno Williams, Otonye TKD Amachree.
