Sanwo-Olu Celebrates Christmas With Patients Of Somolu GH

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu celebrated Christmas with the in-patients of the General Hospital, Somolu, just as he congratulated them for witnessing another festive season.

Sanwo-Olu, speaking during the Y2023 In-Patients Christmas Party organised by the Management and Staff of the Hospital on Christmas Day at the Antenatal Clinic open space, explained that the birth of Jesus Christ is the reason for the season celebration.

The Governor, represented at the occasion by the Director, Career Management, Health Service Commission, Mrs. Rebecca Olufunke Ojo, said every birth brings a joyous moment in its wake. Consequently, the birth of Christ is by no means an exemption as there is a great expectation attached to His Birth,  “Indeed, Christ’s Birth brings solutions to the myriad of problems facing humanity”, he added.

While commending the MD/CEO of the Hospital, Dr. Babalola Dokunmu Ogungbemile and his team for their efforts at the facility, he vowed to continuously invest in quality healthcare delivery in accordance with the Health and Environment Pillars of The T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda of his Administration.

In his remarks, the MD/CEO of Somolu GH, Dr. Babalola Dokunmu Ogungbemile thanked Mr. Governor for his unflinching support for the hospital.

Also, the Deputy MD, Dr. Olugbenga Nathaniel Ojo was full of appreciation for the team spirit exhibited by members of staff in the course of their duties.

Highlights of the occasion include the cutting of the ceremonial cake and the presentation of gifts to in-patients by the representative of Mr. Governor.
