Sex Makes a Woman Glow,’ Says Iyabo Ojo

Famous Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo offered audiences an amusing and candid peek into her romantic life on the birthday special edition of “The Morayo Show,” hosted by Morayo Afolabi-Brown, as the discussion shifted from lighthearted banter about marriage certificates to a more heartfelt conversation about the foundations of a lasting relationship.

The conversation began with Afolabi-Brown sharing a humorous observation about women who are not married, but appear to have a certain happiness and freedom that catches people’s attention, far above those married

Speaking playfully, Afolabi-Brown said: “These people that don’t have (marriage) certificates, they are just so happy… there’s so much joy…”

She wondered, during the live show on Monday, what was happening on the other side, even referencing Yeni Aníkúlápó-Kuti.

“I see YK (Yeni Aníkúlápó-Kuti).

“She’s living the life.

“And I’m thinking: What is it on that side of the fence that you guys are enjoying so much that those of us with marriage certificates are just like….”

The lighthearted moment got a reaction from Ojo, who explained that happiness in a relationship is not simply about whether someone is married or single.

Ojo said the most important thing is the person you share your life with.

She said: “I don’t think it’s about being single or being married.

“I think it’s about the person that you’re with.”

The conversation then took an even more interesting turn when Ojo spoke about intimacy and its connection to a woman’s happiness.

She said: “Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow.”

Afolabi-Brown immediately picked up on the comment and jokingly teased Ojo, asking if she was basically saying that having that part of her life fulfilled was the reason behind her happiness.

The exchange brought plenty of laughter from the audience, but Afolabi-Brown then moved the conversation beyond the jokes and asked Ojo to share more about her relationship.

She wanted to know what love looked like between Ojo and her partner away from the public eye.

Responding, Ojo described their relationship as one between two mature people with demanding schedules.

“We’re two mature people and two very busy people.”

She then added: “We (single mothers) are happy.

“I think some married women are happy too.

“I don’t think it’s about being single or being married.

“I think it’s about the person that you’re with.

“Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow.

“I’m getting more than enough.

“Maybe those with marriage certificates aren’t getting enough.”

Ojo explained that the foundation of their relationship is built on understanding and support.

“But the most important thing is to understand each other, to support each other, to be there for each other.”

Ojo also admitted that, like every other couple, they experience challenges.

“We fight.

“We have our, you know, ups and downs.

“It’s normal.

“But the most important thing is that we respect each other.

“We respect our space and what we do, you know, and we just move on with that.”
