Soludo Named Sun Man of The Year, His Achievements in Anambra Lauded

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has emerged as The Sun Newspaper ‘Man of the Year 2024’ in recognition of his excellent governance and laudable achievements in infrastructural and transformational advancement of the state within a short period of his administration.

Soludo will receive the prestigious award on March 1, 2025, at the award ceremony in Lagos.

The award underscores Governor Soludo’s numerous achievements and his progressive leadership in steering the affairs of the state to an enviable height.

Popularly called Mr. Fixer, Mr. Reformer, and Mr. Jinx Breaker, Governor Soludo’s solution-driven governance has wowed critics, with developmental projects that signpost his sincere commitment to making Anambra a destination, a livable and prosperous state.

In a release by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the Editor-in-Chief of Daily Sun Newspapers, Mr. Onuoha Ukeh, in the company of other editors of the Sun, visited the governor in Awka on Friday, to present the award letter, which follows after weeks of a painstaking selection process by the management of the organization.

In his remark, Governor Soludo, who was applauded for his infrastructure projects in the state’s 21 Local Government Areas, investments in human capital development, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, skills acquisition, and seed capital programmes, among others, thanked The Sun Newspaper team for the unsolicited but purely based on merit conclusion based on the team’s provided rationale.
