Sophia Momodu’s Ghana Trip Turns Messy as Carolyna Hutchings and Dabota Lawson Clash

The tension in The Real Housewives of Lagos Season 3 reached new heights in episode 9, as the housewives took a glamorous trip to Ghana, hosted by Sophia Momodu, Nigerian entrepreneur, socialite, and brand influencer. The trip was meant to be a luxurious getaway, offering the women an exclusive preview of the next collection set to launch in Sophia’s boutique. However, what was supposed to be a fashionable retreat quickly turned into a heated battleground.
While the housewives were unwinding at a high-end lounge, Sophia saw an opportunity to mend fences between two of the show’s most vocal personalities—Carolyna Hutchings and Dabota Lawson. With lingering tensions from past episodes, Sophia urged them to address their long-standing issues.
Carolyna, however, was having none of it. “I don’t want to talk about this,” she firmly told Sophia, visibly irritated. She went on to express her frustration, accusing Sophia of constantly pushing the issue despite knowing her stance with Dabota. “I’ve told you before, I am at peace with myself. Why do you keep bringing this up?” she questioned. Her annoyance with Sophia was evident, and for the first time, the tension between them was just as thick as the one with Dabota.
But Sophia refused to back down. “This has gone on for too long,” she insisted. “You both need to sit down, talk, and resolve it once and for all.”
The conversation took a sharp turn when Carolyna bluntly labeled Dabota as two-faced, igniting an immediate reaction from Dabota. “I’m done with this,” Dabota declared. She explained that she had previously tried reaching out to Carolyna, but she was ignored. “She’s comfortable talking to everyone else, so she can deal with that on her own,” she added, clearly fed up.
The confrontation escalated further when Dabota brought up an old accusation involving her close friend, Ehi Ogbebor, interior designer and former partner of MC Oluomo. She claimed that Carolyna had once accused her of suggesting that Ehi tried to poison her at a gathering in Dabota’s home. But Carolyna wasn’t having it.
“That is a lie,” Carolyna fired back. “Dabota is a tongue-twister! I did say I wasn’t comfortable around her friend spiritually, but at no point did I mention anything about poison.”
The tension in the room thickened as Carolyna decided to revisit another unresolved issue—Dabota’s alleged visit to her ex-husband’s house. “Let’s talk about what you did! You had no business going to my ex-husband’s house,” she accused, her voice rising.
At this point, the argument spiralled out of control. Insults flew across the table, voices got louder, and before anyone knew it, the two women were on the verge of a physical altercation.
The other ladies watched in shock as Carolyna and Dabota exchanged heated words, their long-standing feud exploding in full force.
Sophia, who had initially hoped for reconciliation, was now caught in the crossfire. The trip that was supposed to be about business and relaxation had turned into an all-out war, leaving the group more divided than ever.
With emotions at an all-time high and unresolved issues still lingering, one thing is clear—The Real Housewives of Lagos (Season 3) is only getting messier.
