Suspended Spanish Football Association president, Luis Rubiales could be banned from football for 15-year as Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) are reportedly pushing for his ban.
This was following the alleged sexual harassment levelled against him after he kissed a Spanish female player, Jenni Hermoso, without her consent.
FIFA will reportedly push for him to be banned from all football for 15 years after the Spanish federation withdrew their support for him.
Rubiales was asked to resign after the Spanish FA made a U-Turn, saying his ‘unacceptable’ behaviour had caused ‘grave harm to the image of Spanish football.
The behaviour in question is the alleged kiss between Luis Rubiales and Jenni Hermoso.
In the wake of Spain’s World Cup victory over England, Rubiales was given a 90-day interim suspension by FIFA but retained the backing of the Spanish Football Association.
Regardless of the outcome, FIFA are likely to impose a lengthy ban on Rubiales.
