TASUED Management Suspends Exams After Cultists Killed Final Year Student

The management of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State has indefinitely suspended the ongoing second-semester examination in the school.

The decision was taken following the killing of a final-year student identified as Olaoye Fabiyi, allegedly by suspected cultists on Wednesday.

It was gathered that Fabiyi was dragged out of the examination hall while writing his final papers by some unidentified men.

A source who witnessed the incident said the armed men dragged him to a corner, where they shot at him and hit him with a brick on the head.

The statement read, “The university management has directed the suspension of all examinations previously scheduled for Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5, 2024, until further notice.

“Meanwhile, students are assured of their safety and are advised to remain calm while investigations are ongoing to get to the root of the cultist attack on a student on campus.

“Please note and be guided accordingly. Management will issue further notices on the resumption of examinations.”
